MIT Makes A Surprising Move With “Diversity” Amid Mass Lawsuits

Pretty sad that it takes a federal lawsuit for one of the allegedly most advanced universities in the nation to wake up to the rather obvious hatred disguised as “diversity” these days.

Indeed, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), an alleged leader in technology and science, has been subsumed by rabid, antisemitic protests for well over six months now.

Tellingly, the president of MIT, Dr. Sally Kornbluth, declined to resign despite her abysmal performance before Congress regarding which measures the university is not taking to protect its Jewish students.

Which is precisely why the allegedly elite school was smacked with a federal lawsuit in March.

“As a result of MIT’s blatant and intentional disregard for its legal and contractual obligations to its students, plaintiffs and other students have suffered injury to themselves and their educational experience …

Jewish and Israeli students at MIT have felt unsafe attending classes, have in some instances deferred graduation dates or exams, and some professors have left the university,” the lawsuit reads.

Way to go, libs.

Last time anyone checked, it wasn’t Jewish individuals flying planes into the twin towers.

Moreover, neither Israelis nor Jewish individuals were cheering all over the planet following the devastation of 9/11 … though quite a few radical Muslims were.

Including the Palestinians that brainwashed snowflakes are defending now.

Then again, Palestinians were cheering in the street over murdered Israeli youth on October 7.

Rather clear that only some lives matter to that crew.

Typically lives dedicated to nothing but death and destruction in the first place.

That said, Ms. Kornbluth is apparently feeling a tad more heat now, as she’s made a sudden move againstmandatory diversity, if only because she’s facing an inconvenient lawsuit.

Specifically, per a MIT spokesperson, the statements regarding “knowledge of challenges related to diversity, equity, and inclusion,” formerly a job application requirement, have been abolished.

“Requests for a statement on diversity will no longer be part of applications for any faculty positions at MIT,” the spokesperson declared.

Is that so? Pray tell, which is a school allegedly devoted to technology so obsessed with social justice warrior nonsense?

In particular the anti-white, antisemitic variety.

Kornbluth also claimed that she is still all about inclusion, though in reality she’s obviously engaging in a (way too late) coverup of the hate her school has long since tolerated.

“My goals are to tap into the full scope of human talent, to bring the very best to MIT, and to make sure they thrive once here … We can build an inclusive environment in many ways, but compelled statements impinge on freedom of expression, and they don’t work,” Kornbluth brayed.

You don’t say.

Indeed, a survey conducted by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) revealed that quite a few faculty members remained “unclear” as to whether or not “[the MIT] administration protects free speech.”

Amazingly, 25 percent of MIT faculty admitted that they were either “very” or “extremely” likely to engage in self-censorship.

Says quite a bit.

Randall L. Kennedy authored a column in the Harvard Crimson, which clearly pointed out how long overdue the elimination of mandatory diversity statements has been.

“Universities are under a legal, moral, and pedagogical duty to take action against wrongful discriminatory conduct. But demands for mandatory DEI statements venture far beyond that obligation into territory that is full of booby-traps inimical to an intellectually healthy university environment,” Kennedy declared.

Absolutely.

Needless to say, rabid protests that support terrorist groups are even more “inimical.”
