Biden’s State of the Union address was full of doozies, though perhaps one of the greatest doozies of all, at least from a national security standpoint, pertains to none other than China.
Especially bearing in mind the “Big Guy” payoffs from before.
“Before I came to office, the story was about how the People’s Republic of China was increasing its power and America was falling in the world. Not anymore. I’ve made clear with President Xi that we seek competition, not conflict,” Biden boomed.
Yeah. That was “the story” considering your own son cut a number of nefarious deals with the Chinese, Mr. Biden.
“Today, we’re in the strongest position in decades to compete with China or anyone else in the world. But make no mistake: as we made clear last week, if China threatens our sovereignty, we will act to protect our country. And we did,” Biden added.
Oh yeah, a real show of strength.
Allowing the balloon to photograph the entire United States for more than a week, geotagging who knows how many nuclear silos along the way, really showed the Chinese Communist Party!
Needless to say, Senator Ted Cruz was less than impressed with Biden’s apparent absence of strength.
“When [Joe Biden] talked late in his speech and it took nearly an hour for him to get to it. But when he finally got to China, and he said, ‘We’re standing up [to] China and America stronger than ever before, and our enemies are weaker.’ It was utterly absurd,” Cruz remarked.
Was it ever.
Would have been absurd even in situations in which the president’s son hadn’t cut a deal with the Chinese … which he did.
“I mean, we just finished last week, the world watching as a Chinese spy balloon for over a week hovered over U.S. Army bases, secure installations, committing espionage and Biden weakly and impotently rank wrung his hands, he did nothing,” Cruz continued.
Got it in one.
Worst of all, Sir Biden apparently didn’t even want shoot down the balloon at first, though he was eventually pressured into doing so.
After Beijing got all it needed, that is.
“And then finally, after it completed its mission, he shot it down once the mission was over once our security had been compromised. And the result of that is Xi and every other enemy in the world took the measure of the commander-in-chief, and they concluded he was weak. He was not willing to defend U.S. airspace,” Cruz added.
North Koreans, Iranians, and Russians surely took note, that’s for sure.
Likely timed for Biden’s address, which Cruz also noted.
“I think that was actually one of the major objectives of the incursion. I think the Chinese knew the balloon would be spotted, it was visible to the naked eye, they knew it would be spotted. And yet, they also knew Biden would be so weak, he wouldn’t do anything about it, or they suspected it. And he confirmed that,” Cruz added.
Did he ever.
To be fair, however, Biden “confirmed” his acquiescence to foreign interests years ago, from Burisma in Ukraine to the CCP in China …
