Illegals Embark On Crime Spree In “Sanctuary” City

Well, well, well.

Looks like the endless “sanctuary” largesse of New York City is doing little to dissuade a substantial number of illegals from committing crimes.

As detailed by the Washington Examiner, none other than Mayor Eric Adams has admitted that illegals have started committing crimes across the sanctuary city.

“Do I believe that there are some migrants who are committing crimes in the city? Yes. Yes,” Adams informed reporters.

Well then. New York gives (tax-payer funded) benefits to illegals as part of its “sanctuary,” though illegals clearly have no interest in making New York a “sanctuary” for its residents.

On the contrary, they’re making the city even more dangerous, leading one to wonder exactly what goes through New Yorkers’ minds when they vote for Democrats.

Of course, Adams had to rapidly backpedal and insist that many people commit crimes across New York City, not just illegals.

“There are people who are committing crimes in all walks of life. It’s not just migrants and asylum-seekers. I think that we have a number of migrants who have committed crimes. We have a number of non-migrants who are committing crimes,” Adams continued.

Well, no wonder. After all, New York was at the epicenter of the “Defund Police” movement.

Is it any wonder that a number of “non-migrants” are also committing crimes?

“And, so, I do not want to walk away with anyone saying that the [grand larceny auto] increase we saw in the city was just migrants. No, it’s not. It was long-term New Yorkers who committed [grand larceny auto] also,” Adams continued, “but are there some crimes that migrants have committed? Yes, there are.”

Well gee, Mayor Adams, imagine that.

After all, if individuals have zero issue entering the nation illegally, it should go without saying that they are probably just fine with illegal crime as well.

And, rather than address the obvious elephant in the room, notably the persistent problem of sanctuary cities, Adams instead decided to whine about Texas Governor Greg Abbott, whose state is currently buckling under the pressure of millions of illegals.

Quite a contrast with the thousands of illegals that blue cities are whining about. And demanding billions in federal funding to manage.

“We cannot allow buses with people needing our help to arrive without warning at any hour of day and night … This not only prevents us from providing assistance in an orderly way, it puts those who have already suffered,” Adams whined.

How about the suffering taxpayers living in an increasingly dangerous nation, thanks to the “open borders” policies of the Democrats?

Humorously, Adams is quick to pass policies limiting Abbott’s buses, but not so quick to eliminate the sanctuary city policies that drive illegals up north in the first place.

Indeed, the New York City mayor recently signed an executive order that requires bus operators to give at least 32 hours’ notice in advance of illegal arrivals, as well as to limit the hours of drop-off times.

Rather than kowtow to hysterical Adams’s demands, the bus operators simply dropped illegals off in New Jersey instead.

Leaving illegals free to cross the “open border” to New York.

Of course, New Jersey freaked out over the arrival of a grand total of ten buses.

“Approximately 10 buses from various locations in Texas and one from Louisiana have arrived at various transit stations throughout the state, including Secaucus, Fanwood, Edison, Trenton. This is clearly going to be a statewide conversation so it is important that we wait for some guidance from the governor here on next steps,” the emergency management agency of Jersey City.

How about just one “step”: Get rid of sanctuary cities!
